The Bachelor of Social Science in Social Work at the University of Sierra Leone is a professional degree program designed to prepare students to address social problems and promote social justice, human rights, and community development. Graduates are well prepared for employment in government ministries, NGOs, community-based organizations, international agencies, healthcare institutions, schools, and social welfare departments, as well as for further studies in social work or related social sciences.

The minimum requirements for admission into the faculty are five credits at GCE ??o?? Level/WASSCE. Candidates must have Grade C5 or better in English Language and Mathematics. In addition, they must have at least 3 social science subjects like Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Economics, Commerce etc. Same requirement as for Bachelor of Social Sciences except that Mathematics is not a requirement.
